Nice little campsite, tidy and well kept. Adequate shower and toilet facilities. Be aware showers only operate on 20p coins.
We use this site as an overnight stop before and after the ferry to France. Pleasant owner, clean facilities. Only downside is having to pay for the showers and hot water. Site fees are high enough that this should be included
Sad to say i had a very bad experience at this campsite. First was told off for arriving too early when we had come straight from Dover ferry, then realised you have to pay for showers and washing up water!! Then got told off for kite flying (which I sort of understood), then overheard the lady running it slagging me off for kite flying to the campers in front of us. She obviously thought I was out, but I was inside with my baby. Wont ever be going here again. Shame, because the field itself is lovely.
We had a lovely stay at the campsite this weekend which is set within an orchard with both Caravans and tents. After being shown where all the facilities were, we had a spot at the back of the field in the shade from the morning sun so the kids wouldn't wake up too early... The owner was very kind and was very helpful throughout our stay I'm sure we'll be back on a future cycle expedition.
Spent a couple of nights in a cherry orchard. The site has beautiful walks around it, though meadow and orchard, there are hook-ups for electricity and water and clean shower and toilet facilities. Great place to go if you are heading for Dover. Ann runs the place and we found her helpful, warm and efficient. We will be going back, it's a treasure of a place, visit soon for some peace and quiet - and of course there is a pub close by. The dog also had a great time.
