A really good solid no nonsense pub. It's not Shepherd Neame, which makes a nice change in Faversham, and there is always a good range of beer and cider from independent breweries on offer. It's cosy with open fire and nooks and crannies but it's not twee - there is a bit of a naval thing going on with interesting pictures . Dogs are welcome and there is a big enclosed beer garden at the back (It's paved,not grass, and no swings or anything so although children are welcome the garden is not designed with them in mind).I always like my trips to the Elephant , the staff are friendly.

Cosy traditional pub with lots of nautical paraphernalia. A short walk/stagger from faversham train station. Welcoming open fire, friendly staff and if your lucky the neighbouring cat might join you
Went for a family thing in the function room. The pub has a great selection of pints. Staff and locals all seem pretty nice. Very welcoming and warm pub. I will be visiting again with the wife
One of the best pubs in Faversham. Excellent range of beers that change almost daily and are kept really well. Good live music some weekends, Really nice courtyard garden, which has recently been refurbished, and is a real sun trap on a hot afternoon - not big enough for kids to run around but there's a fish pond and lots of flowers for them to investigate. Always a friendly atmosphere. In winter they get the fire going and there's some very small, cosy booths you can tuck away in. Dog friendly, and kid friendly up to about 6pm.
