My husband who has developed serious medical problems was seen at an appointment on Friday December 14th. Following changes to his blood thinner he had been bleeding rectally for 10 days. He told the doctor he saw this. The doctor said he would arrange an urgent referral to the colo rectal department. My husband looked very unwell and grey and he was exhausted. He collapsed at work on Monday 17th and was admitted to Ashford Hospital with severe anaemia that night. He was in hospital for 5 days and had two blood transfusions. The urgent referral appointment arrived on 18 th December for an appointment in March. So much for urgent.I wrote a letter to the practice commenting that I felt completely let down as it had apparently not occured to anyone in the practice that he might be suffering from anaemia and that his condition might be rapidly becoming quite critical. I handed it in to Reception myself so that there was no question of it being lost in the post.Needless to say I have never had an acknowledgment let alone any kind of reply. We are now trying to register elsewhere because we have lost all faith in this practice. We have been patients there since we moved to the area in 1986.

The telephone service is appalling I selected test result and all I get is recorded messages no body ever answers the phone. I have tried all 3 numbers so will go down in person I assume. Buck your ideas up we are the ones who pay our salaries. I visit the doctors probably once every 2 years I pay considerable amounts of taxes and NI

Every time I have phoned the doctors they have all been so rude when answering the phone. I phone on the day at 8am, doesnt get answered until 8.15 which I understand its busy but when they answer they refuse to give you an appointment just tell you to come in for the walk in because its not an emergency but yet, they arent doctors so how would they know. When you come in for the walk in, because there is nothing else, in front of everyone they ask you why you are here. It is ridiculously unprofessional and the staff all need some serious training and little empathy wouldnt hurt them.If Im honest Im not sure why Im still registered here seeing as I was miss diagnosed for so many years. The doctors dont listen to you. Other than Dr Rickard, and I used to have my depo injection done there until a doctor decided to open the closed door whilst I was standing right behind the door with my trousers down in front of the whole reception. Every time I have been there, something awful has happened.

Having moved to Faversham within the last year, we are new to the practice. Unfortunately we have had to use the surgery a few times already and I am full of support for the service given. Doctors, clinicians and reception staff have all been very thorough and pleasant, despite what must be a very stressful job at times. Both my son and myself have been treated very well and as such I am minded to offset the low rating a few of the reviews here give. Many Thanks to All the staff at this practice, please keep doing the good work!

Just seen Damian at the minor injuries unit AND HE WAS AMAZING. Really professional, really knowledgeable, very thorough and personally arranged for continuing care through Canterburys hand therapy unit (nasty chisel accident). My experience here was wholly positive and very quick - I just wish that heroes at places like these got more credit.
