Excellent, large sponge cakes here. What's not to like!? Low prices for an interesting menu, though I haven't had a proper lunch here yet; I keep coming back for the cake! Good hot drinks: Tea, hot chocolate and coffees. Not a huge amount of space between the tables, so leave any baby buggies in the lobby. Pay first then grab a table. No bookings at the weekend. Just pop in!

If you are visiting Faversham, make sure you visit the wharf at Standard Quay and enjoy the impedimentia and photogenic views of the boats and wharf fisherman's, and old chandlers huts. There are some interesting shops there, and take your refreshments at the delightful Secret Garden tea rooms. There are tables inside in the charming old building or outside in the garden where there are plants for sale. The staff are friendly and efficient, the ambience is a delight, and the food is of a good range with reasonable prices. Their tea and coffee is excellent. Do give them a visit.Cyclists can bring their bike's into the garden so they can keep an eye on them.
Popped in here this morning for a coffee whilst out cycling, and glad we did. Has rear access to the side to wheel the bikes round, with loads of tables and chairs outside in a lovely courtyard. Good menu, reasonably priced too. Will definitely go back.
